The design project involves three logical stages, which are contextual inquiry (Project 1a) in which the students will do a diagnostic study of the selected site/s; defining public space (Project 1b) in which the students will create an urban design strategy as response to the contextual findings; and architectural interface: human+space (project 1c) in which the students will develop an architectural design as a narrative to the specific research question. Collaboration with the professional bodies of research and practice and with the end-user, is integrated into the studio at every key stage.
